Top Affiliate Challenge Episode 5 Shut Down By Google!
OK… first off, I have to say this… GREAT JOB THOR! In a previous post, I explained my frustration with where Top Affiliate Challenge was headed. I hated the fact that there was no real “content” within the episodes and was getting sick of listening to the contestants whining like my kids.
Episode 5, although not available on their site presumably because of a “trick” shared by John Chow on how to cheat Adwords, was incredible! THIS is what I am looking for. Props to you guys!
They got into tips and tricks with drupal and wordpress and talked about delegation and much more. I highly recommend checking out episode 5 here.

It’s really not that incredible, it’s a well known trick that has been around for quite a while and is probably more work than it is worth. If you have a working campaign, you don’t want to shut it down just to get free credits.
The throw away cards and voucher trick might be good for test marketing, but it’s not going to put you that far ahead. Go to the DPS forums and look how far back ppl have been selling vouchers for.
Plus, I rarely see a $200 voucher, In fact I think those only existed when yahoo SEM first launched. At best you are going to get $50. So you buy the card for $30 plus $6.95 shipping and then you buy the $50 voucher for $5 or more. In the end you’re ahead $8.05. If your campaign is going well and you cut it off, you lose your keyword price and your momentum. If not you can go back and start over, but you lose time and your overall stats and dollar cost averaging. Is that really worth $8 bucks?
